IMEMA - International Meeting on Endemic Mycoses of the Americas

 25/04/2023

Welcome Letter

It is a great honour and pleasure for us to cordially invite you to attend the 2nd International Meeting on Endemic Mycoses of the Americas (IMEMA) and the 1st International Symposium on Implantation Mycoses (ISIM) .

Based on the great experience of the 1st IMEMA, a broad scientific discussion forum on systemic endemic mycoses is proposed, but incorporating the implantation mycoses, whose incidence is also very important in the Americas.

Throughout these scientific meetings you will have the opportunity to interact with a large number of opinion leaders and highly qualified outstanding scientists from different American countries. Clinical aspects, treatment challenges and new trends and developments in diagnosis will be discussed, but also epidemiology overviews and advances and research findings on the field of pathogenesis of fungi causing these mycoses.

These scientific meetings will be held in Santiago del Estero, as an emblematic place, due to its incidence of mycetoma’s and because 3 of the systemic endemic mycoses occur in this historical province of Argentina.

Welcome all to the 2nd IMEMA and the 1st ISIM and enjoy with us excellent science in a stimulating environment!

We look forward to greeting you in Santiago del Estero.
